What do I love too much to lose? What am I going to do about it?

On Friday, July 22, the Climate Countdown clock will roll over from 7 years, 0 days, 00:00:00 to 6 years, 364 days, 23:59:59. To mark the somber milestone, people around the globe will observe a of silence when they will reflect on the questions What do I love too much to lose? and What am I going to do about it? Then, after the moment of silence, they'll share their climate resolutions on social media. Climate Clock and Fridays for Future are organizing the action on what they’re calling a Climate Emergency Day.

Last month, on the last day of the Pennsylvania Climate Convergence, we installed the second biggest climate countdown clock in the country in the East Wing of the Capitol to remind our government officials that they are failing us on climate change.

We've invited them to reflect and then share their climate resolutions on social media and live on a special Zoom we're organizing to mark the occasion. Read the letter we sent them here. Help pressure them by asking them too! We've created a toolkit to help you invite them. Please make sure to tell them to use the hashtags #MyClimateResolution and #ActInTimePA.

And then join us on Friday at 11:55 a.m. for our observance when we'll hear from activists and advocates what inspired them to engage. We'll check social media to see if our elected officials are posting resolutions. And we'll ask you to share your climate resolutions.

Invite your elected officials to join the Zoom and use the same link to register to attend. bit.ly/ClimateEmergencyDayPA. You can also watch on FB Live from our FB page and share your resolutions in the comments.
